March 2021 - Deneitra Jackson is the Administrative Assistant for Pupil Services in Richland School District 2.  Deneitra has worked in education for 12 years and has been a member of SCAEOP for two years.  She enjoys reading and her favorite book is “Everyone Communicates, Few Connect” by John Maxwell.  Her favorite place to travel is Cocoa Beach, Florida and she enjoys baking peach cobbler.  If Deneitra were to win the lottery she would save and help the less fortunate.  Deneitra has a daughter majoring in Electrical Engineering at Clemson University.  If Deneitra had received a senior superlative in high school it would have been “Friendliest” – which may explain why she is a truly genuine and caring person.  Deneitra was also very instrumental in playing a part to promote SCAEOP’s first feminine product drive to support our community service project,   The Homeless Period Project.  She and her colleague, Roxanna Cubero, held a drive in their department shortly after the HPP was introduced at our annual conference.  As a result of their efforts, they were able to collect  2,048 pads, 2,048 liners, 585 tampons, and $75 in cash donations to assist with purchase supplies.  Way to go Deneitra!!!

February 2021 - Originally from Boardman, Ohio, and graduated from Boardman High School in 1980. I moved with my family to Columbia, SC, 38 years ago. I began my educational office professionally career with Richland School District Two in August of 1991. I have had the privilege of opening not one, not two but three brand new schools in the district working in many different capacities.
My current position is Student Data Coordinator at Lake Carolina Elementary School - Upper Campus, with the responsibility of all student records in PowerSchool, registering new students, help cover the receptionist desk and helping out in any other way that is needed. I have been with Richland School District Two for 29 years and love every aspect of work.
I am a member of the Richland County Association of Educational Office Professionals (RCAEOP), the South Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals (SCAEOP) and the National Association of Educational Office Professionals (NAEOP). I have served on the RCAEOP Executive Board as Secretary from 2016-2018 and served on many different committees. I have served as the SCAEOP Conference Co-Chairman and Chair for two years and am the Area 5 Director at the present time. I was the Mid-Atlantic Area AEOP secretary from 2016-2018 and was part of the 2017 NAEOP Conference Committee in Greenville, SC.
I obtained my Certified Educational Office Employee (CEOE) distinction in 2016. During this time, I have had great mentors who have encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and grow professionally and personally by taking on new challenges. I am so humbled and honored to have been chosen as RCAEOP & SCAEOP’s Office Professional of the Year for 2020-2021. It is my goal to encourage and inspire other RCAEOP & SCAEOP members to do the same.
My wonderful husband, Don, and I were married for 35 years and have two wonderful sons. Our oldest son Robbie works at North Greenville University and Michael is a manager at J.R. Cash Grill and Bar. We have been blessed with one granddaughter, “Sweet Cheeks” (Mikiyah) and a daughter in love Charise. I am a member at Northeast Presbyterian Church. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, working on crafts, traveling, and watching sports, Go Browns!!!
