Brian Weston, CEOE
Richland One School District

A visionary leader with over 27 years’ experience in office management and customer service, Brian is known to be exemplary in his profession. His professional background includes 11 years in the Office of Human Resource Services, where his career began as Senior Clerk, with responsibilities of all aspects of the daily oversight of substitute teachers. Brian further excelled to the position of Administrative Assistant II for six years, where he supported eight Curriculum Consultants in their roles of enhancing instruction with teachers across the district. He was further promoted to the position of Executive Assistant with the Chief of Teaching and Learning for three years and currently Executive Assistant with the Office of Executive Directors of Schools.
Brian was inspired to join the Educational Office Professionals Association through local colleagues. Without delays, he was recruited into an abundance of committees and leadership roles in the association at the local (RCAEOP) and state (SCAEOP) levels. Brian's work went unnoticed and was soon appointed as Parliamentarian to SCAEOP by Tina Gilliard Rice, CEOE and then to NAEOP by President Jill Averyhart, CEOE; where he has continued and maintained various Board level responsibilities.
Additionally through the years, Brian has contributed service time through mentoring associations such as "CBM" - Concerned Black Men, Inc. , the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and the Richland County School District One "ROW Program" for students with special needs. Brian's passion for volunteerism led him through the years to be involved in the NAACP, advocating for the American Heart Association, the United Way of the Midland, the Palmetto Health Foundation - Breast Cancer Awareness Division MIRCI - Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc., and his alma mater, the Lower Richland High School Alumni Foundation.
