
Member Dependent Scholarships
Our Member Dependent Scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to the dependents of SCAEOP members who are pursuing higher education. This scholarship aims to support students who have demonstrated academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to their community, helping them achieve their educational and career goals.
Elgibility Criteria

Must be a dependent of a current SCAEOP member in good standing.

Must be a high school senior attending a school in South Carolina.

Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Must be planning to enroll in an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, or technical school) for the upcoming academic year.

Must demonstrate leadership qualities, community involvement, and a commitment to personal and academic growth.

2024 Recipient
Tiauna Turner
My name is Tiauna Turner and I am the daughter of SCAEOP Past President Kimmetta Tidwell, CEOE and Demetrice Turner. I am currently a senior at Fairfield Central High School and a member of the STEM Early College Academy (through Midlands Technical College) where I am pursuing an Associate Degree in Science and a Pre-Nursing Certificate.
I am also an honor student and currently rank in the top 10% of my senior class. I am a member of the National Beta Club, National Honor Society, Midlands Technical College Honor Society, Fairfield County School District Elite Ladies, Benedict College Upward Bound, Midlands Technical College TRIO, Fairfield Central High School Varsity Cheer Team and the Morris Creek Baptist Church Youth Group.
I work as a part-time cashier at a local grocery store and volunteer in my community when time permits. After graduating from high school and Midlands Technical College, I plan to attend the University of South Carolina Upstate to major in Nursing. I am so honored and grateful to have been chosen as the South Carolina Association of Educational Office Professionals’ student scholarship recipient.
SCAEOP Student Scholarship Application
The scholarship committee will review all applications and select recipients based on academic performance, leadership qualities, community involvement, and the content of the personal essay. Finalists may be required to participate in an interview. The application deadline is December 1st.
